The appearance of Ostracods is a fascinating natural occurrence. You might see them on other dates, but during specific dates the circumstances are best. However, due to the unique conditions required for observation (such as complete darkness), it’s possible that some divers may miss this spectacle. 

We recommend to ask for additional information at your dive center to enhance your chances of experiencing this mesmerizing underwater glow. Most dive centers at Bonaire offer special guided Ostracods tours, mostly at green and orange indicated dates.
